CEREC dental restorations are a fantastic advancement in dental technology that allows us to create custom dental restorations quickly and effectively, all from the convenience and comfort of our modern dental office. Using CEREC we can create porcelain crowns, dental veneers, and bridges too!
How Does CEREC Work?
In what may be just a few minutes, our milling facility can create beautiful, durable porcelain crowns designed with you in mind. In fact, every single one of the crowns that we make are custom-crafted and color-matched so that they fit right, look great, and make your smile the one you desire.
After our team carefully examines and prepares the tooth that needs treatment, the CEREC magic can really begin. Using the CEREC system, we create an optical impression aided by CAD/CAM, which uses an advanced 3D camera. This optical impression is then used with CAD/CAM to design your beautiful new crown that is going to be used for your restoration.
Once the crown design is complete, specifications for your new crown are sent to our high quality on-site milling facility, where your crown is then made.
Once the crown is made, our team will carefully place this new restoration on your tooth and then bond it permanently. Using skill and high quality dental instruments, we will buff and polish the new crown until it looks and feels just right.
CEREC Has Some Fantastic Benefits, Including:
Time & Convenience
In the past, creating a crown, veneer, or bridge was a time consuming process, and could often take a couple of weeks or even longer. Because CEREC allows us to complete the design and create your dental device in-house, we can get you the crown, veneer, or bridge that you need (in most cases) within just one visit. This means that you never have to wear an inconvenient or uncomfortable temporary crown. Most temporary crowns are made of plastic and are not as durable as a permanent crown. This means that our same-day CEREC treatments take the hassle and inconvenience out of restorative treatment.
Every single one of our crowns is crafted to your specifications. Using an advanced 3D camera, we will create an optical impression of your tooth in order to design your crown, which will then be created in our state-of-the-art on-site milling facility. This allows us to create a durable, reliable replacement tooth that looks and feels like your natural teeth. CEREC treatments last longer and look better than the porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crowns of the past. Take advantage of our amazing modern technologies and ask Dr. Overholtzer about CEREC today!
Every single one of our CEREC restorations are made to be bio-compatible, metal-free aesthetic restorations. We want our patients to walk away with great oral health and by keeping your mouth metal-free, we can help you achieve your oral health goals.
